                                   History

Iron Gate Antiques was started by World War II Navy Veteran  Homer Bowie in the early 1970's.

Homer Bowie

Iron  Gate was located at several different locations throughout the Loudoun Valley until 1992, when Homer moved the store to Main Street in the old downtown section of Purcellville, Virginia, where he continued to work until his death in December, of 2005, when it passed to his son Carleton. The store was moved to its current location in June, 2007. In October, 2007 Lynne and Bob McCann purchased Iron Gate Antiques.  Customers of the store for the previous decade, for Lynne and Bob, the decision to buy the store was easy.
